North Tonawanda Arson Suspect to Appear in Court

NORTH TONAWANDA, NY (WKBW) - A rash of overnight fires in North Tonawanda and one blaze in Tonawanda had residents worried about going to bed last night.

But this morning, police said they have a suspect in custody.

Christopher Syracuse, 26, of North Tonawanda is charged with arson, criminal mischief and other charges. He is accused of setting seven fires late Monday night into early Tuesday morning.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in North Tonawanda City Court.

Five cars and four homes were damaged including an historic home that suffered heavy damage.
