BUFFALO, NY (RELEASE) - Community advocacy organizations from across the East and West Side of Buffalo hosted an interfaith prayer circle Tuesday, July 9 in front of Buffalo City Hall.

Since the start of the new year, 21 members of the Buffalo community have been killed due to violence. One of those individuals was a 20-year-old woman named Diamond Toler. Diamond was gunned down on June 24th, just days before her 21st birthday. This event is in loving remembrance of Diamond and all victims of violence.

"We have to change the dynamic and help transform our community into a positive atmosphere," says Marshay Miller, childhood friend of Diamond Toler and organizer of Tuesday's prayer circle. "We must love and empower ourselves, be mindful of others and stop the violence."
