Nick Carter appeared Friday on ABC-TV"s "Good Morning America" to share stories about his sister. His official website offered this tribute:
"Nick Carter is thankful to the many people and the fans who have shared their wishes and prayers during this tragic time. We want to let the fans know the tour will go on as promised. “Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform.” Also, we ask that the press respects Nick's privacy during his time of grief.
The noypistuff blog went on:
"I’ve never done this before, and I never thought I’d ever have to, but I’d like to dedicate this song to my sister," Nick told the crowd before starting an emotional rendition of "Falling Down."
Nick's sister Leslie died at the age of 25 on February 1st. A police report indicates that she suffered a drug overdose.
According to Ginger Carter, her stepmother, Leslie had suffered “a long history of mental illness and was on medication for her depression” and that she appeared distressed the morning of her death.
