(NIAGARA FALLS, NY) WKBW - If there was ever a week to talk about health-care, this is it. So what better time to take an inside look into one of our Western New York hospitals.
Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center opened as a small emergency care center in 1895 and it's never looked back. The hospital has become a major factor in the Niagara Falls economy.
It was almost 1200 employees and generates a $100 million dollar a year budget. The hospital has also expended and is now operating four smaller health care centers in both Niagara and Erie counties. While it is adapting, like all hospitals these days, it is also getting better and treating patients more efficiently, while at the same time investing in the latest medical technology.
