FORT LEONARD WOOD, MO (WKBW) - A Niagara Falls man is dead after being found unresponsive last week in a barrack's bathroom in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Police say 49-year-old Sgt. 1st Class Nathan Dolson Jr was found a little after 6 a.m. last Thursday. Emergency personnel rushed Dolson to the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

Dolson was a drill sergeant assigned to Company C, 31st Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood, since August of 2013.

He received several awards and decorations to include the Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
