The New York State Assembly has passed the NYSAFE Act, which enforces new regulations on gun control.
The bill passed in a 104-43 vote.
Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the Act today in the Capitol Red Room.
This is the first national gun control law to be passed since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn. on December 14th.
