New Wave of Leadership in WNY

From corporate boardrooms to sports arenas, a new wave of leadership is moving into WNY. A report in today's Business First looks at what the impact will be. Some say the region has a prime opportunity with fresh ideas and new attitudes. One of the most recent changes, Dottie Gallagher-Cohen is taking over at the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. Other organizations seeing current or recent changes in leadership: First Niagara Financial Group, The Buffalo News, Niagara University and Nichols School. The list continues with the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Erie County Industrial Development Agency, The Catholic Ciocese, the Buffalo Sabres and the Buffalo Bills, along with changes on the political front.

Business First also taking a closer look at the record $1.1 million gift that ECC received today. It will go to the nursing program. Officials hope it leads to more donations in the future. The report also looks at the donation's connection to the old AM&A's department store.
