New Traffic Pattern For Outer Harbor Concerts

July 19, 2013 Updated Jul 19, 2013 at 3:50 PM EDT

BUFFALO, NY (release) - Promoters for the Outer Harbor Concert series have been working side by side with the Buffalo Police, NFTA police and the Department of Transportation on a plan to help alleviate some of the traffic issues that arise at the Outer Harbor Concerts.

Patrons heading North on Route 5 are encouraged to use The Outer Harbor Drive exit and will be directed north on Fuhrmann Boulevard towards a new parking lot entrance that was created last week to give cars an additional exit/entrance for each show.

For those coming from the 190 to Route 5 southbound, please not the Outer Harbor Drive south exit will be closed, directing all southbound traffic to the Tift Street exit, where you will then head north on Fuhrmann Boulevard towards the venue. This will help alleviate the congestion that has occurred on the skyway from traffic being backed up off the Outer Harbor Drive exit.

A second parking lot has also been secured through the promoters and the NFTA at the location of the old Nano Dynamics building for cars that can't fit in the main parking lot. Free shuttles will be provided for patrons parking in this lot, taking them to and from the show.

The Pearl Street Brewery and The Spirit of Buffalo will provide a water taxi to and from each show, departing from Canal Side. Space is limited though and must be reserved in advance by calling Pearl Street's Brawlers Deli. Round trip boat tickets are $15 each.
