BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- If you're traveling by plane you'll notice new security procedures at the airports. Many travelers will have to make a choice when going through security to either go through a body scanner or get a pat down. Some travelers are not too happy about this and a national protest was declared for Wednesday. One group tried to get people to opt out of the body scan in hopes of causing delays during the holiday rush, to make their point.
TSA officials at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport say only a few people chose to opt out of the scan. "It doesn't seem to be affecting anyone, everyone is going through smoothly. We've maybe had three people that opted out," Brett O'Neil, with the TSA, said.
"I would not opt out, I think it's a valid screening process," one traveler said. "I feel differently about the pat down though."
