BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A close call at a Buffalo pool Thursday, when a child was rescued from the bottom of Centennial Pool in LaSalle Park.
The 6-year-old victim was found unresponsive at the bottom of the pool by a 14-year-old boy, who pulled him from the water.
"In my head I'm like, he's playing around, or is he serious. He's staying down there not moving or nothing, so I pick him up, his whole mouth is foaming, he is not moving at all, so I start going to the side to drop him off and I start calling the life guards," said 14-year-old Julian Colon, who pulled the victim to safety.
Life guards performed CPR and revived the young boy who was rushed to Women and Children's Hospital. Officials from the Boys and Girls of Buffalo say the child is going to be okay.
