National Grid has added a tool that will allow its Upstate New York customers who receive their energy supply to shop and compare costs.
Such energy supply companies are known as an ESCO, an option that's been in place for a decade for both electric and natural gas customers.
The online tool is available through National Grid's web site.
The company said the tool will allow customers who are currently receiving their supply service from an ESCO to see what their 12-month ESCO bill history has been in comparison to what their bill would have been if they had not chosen an ESCO.
