The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) today announced that lane closures will occur this Saturday, August 10, on Interstate 290 westbound in the vicinity of Exit 2, Colvin Boulevard (NY Route 425) in the town of Tonawanda, Erie County, to allow for bridge maintenance.
The two left lanes will be closed to traffic. Motorists should expect to encounter these lane closures beginning at 6:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
