(WKBW) - The person who leaked top secret details of a government's surveillance program now wants everyone to know who he is.
29-year-old Edward Snowden, now known as the "whistleblower," is a contract worker at the National Security Agency. He spoke about his motivation Sunday afternoon in an interview posted online by The Guardian Newspaper.
Snowden says he's standing up against the Government's "horrifying" surveillance capabilities by leaking information claiming the NSA monitored the phone records and internet usage of US citizens.
Snowden says he accepts the risk of coming forward. Click the video for ABC News' Devin Dwyer's full report.
