BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - As of midnight Saturday, he NHL officially locked out its players as disagreements continue over how to split revenue.

This is the league's fourth work stoppage since 1992, the players currently receive a 57% cut but the owners want to reduce that number by 11%.

Some members of the NHL Players Association have already released a youtube video, apologizing to fans and pleading their case as the lockout takes full effect, putting another season in jeopardy.

The Sabres have released information about ticket refunds should any games be cancelled. Fans have the option to get their money back for all games cancelled on a month-to-month basis.

Or the Sabres will offer season ticket holders and "mini- pack" ticket holders 4% simple interest for each game cancelled based on the value of the games.

Both sides are still far away from an agreement and while both sides remain in contact. There's no word yet if and when negotations will resume.
