CHAUTAUQUA, NY (WKBW/NFL Press Release) - NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Southeastern Conference (SEC) Commissioner Mike Slive will address sports and ethics on Wednesday, Aug. 8th as part of the 17th annual PNC Day at Chautauqua Institution.

Goodell has been NFL Commissioner since 2006. During his tenure, interest in the NFL has soared, garnering its largest television audiences in league history and enormous growth in online and social media engagement.

In his first six seasons as commissioner, Goodell has addressed a wide range of issues to improve the NFL, including player health and safety, the medical needs and pensions of retired players and personal conduct.

In his position with the SEC, Slive has developed initiatives designed to maintain and improve the SEC's position as one of the top intercollegiate athletic conferences in the nation, both on and off the fields of play.

Slive and Goodell will take part in a press conference from 10:05 to 10:25 A.M., which immediately precedes their lecture.
