Buffalo, NY

All the collisions happened within a 30 minute period and within about a two mile stretch of each other. Most of the crashes caused minor injuries but one person is in serious condition tonight. The colossians happened mainly between the Interstate 90 downtown exit and the Lackawana toll barrier.
A crash involving three tractor trailers and four passenger vehicles on I-90-West near the route 400 exit shutdown all four westbound lanes causing massive backups. No one was seriously hurt in that crash.

Then another multi-vehicle collisions on the I-90-east between the Lackawana toll barrier and exit 400 which involved a thruway snow plow, a tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle. That crash also causing only minor injuries.

The most serious crash involved a man driving the cab of a tractor trailer on the I-90 east near the Silvercreek Exit, somehow he lost control and veered off the road, flipping the vehicle. The cab portion of the vehicle was crushed.

51 year old Robert Oliver of York, Ontario, Canada was the person driving the cab of the trailer that was crushed. He was taken to Lakeshore Community Hospital then air lifted to via Star Flight to ECMC with head and internal injuries.
