BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW)- Several doctors at ECMC are participating in “Movember”- an international organization that promotes awareness for men’s health issues during November.
Roughly 3 million “Mo Bros” and “Mo Sistas” around the world grow mustaches (or provide support) each year to raise awareness for issues facing men such as testicular and prostate cancer. They also raise money for cancer research.
“Its just a small gesture by growing a mustache for 30 days, but its kind of like wearing a badge and supporting men’s health,” Dr. Vernon Clifton said.
Since 2003, Movember has raised over $446,000,000 for men’s health.
