Move Over Nashville, Buffalo Knows Country Too

You might not think of Buffalo as the Country Music capital of the world, but the truth is, the music genre is more popular now than ever all across the country.

Many people might not know that the Queen City is home to a little country royalty.

Ramblin' Lou and the rest of his musical family are known to many as Buffalo's First Family of Country Music.

Now owner of WXRL, Buffalo's classic country music station, many people can thank Ramblin' Lou for bringing dozens of big names in the music industry to Western New York.

Many fans say it’s the fact that country music is so relatable that draws in the massive crowds.

Clay Moden of WYRK in Buffalo says the station has consistenly seen number one spots over the years and says the fans are like no others.

He says fans are dedicated a loyal to their stars and despite the evolution of the genre over teh years, fans can still relate to each and every song.
