Town of Middlebury, N.Y (WKBW) - A Warsaw man was arrested early Monday morning in the Town of Middlebury.

According to Wyoming County Sheriffs, 19-year-old Quinton Murphy was arrested following a high-speed motorcycle pursuit on St. Rte. 19. Deputies say Murphy was first observed going 68 mph in a 35 mph zone in the Village of Wyoming.

When sheriffs tried to stop Murphy, he fled, reaching a top speed of 108 mph. He eventually yielded to sheriff's near the Town of Warsaw, where he was taken into custody.

Murphy was taken to the Warsaw Police Department, where he failed standardized field sobriety tests, refused to submit to a pre-screen alco-sensor test, and refused to submit a chemical test.

He was taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office where he was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving, and multiple vehicle and traffic laws.

He was arraigned in Town of Warsaw Court, where his license was suspended. He was then committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Middlebury Court on June 17th.
