CUBA, NY (WKBW) - Cuba Police have arrested a 30-year-old Cuba woman and charged her with Reckless Endangerment and Endangering the Welfare of Child.
The arrest came as part of the investigation into the alleged rape of the woman's 5-year-old daughter. Police have already arrested and charged 33-year-old Paul Leonard of Olean with rape and a slew of other charges in this case.
WKBW.com and Eyewitness News has chosen not to release the accused woman's identity or publish her mug shot in order to protect the identity of the alleged victim.
The woman's arrest stems from her alleged knowledge that there was sexual contact between Leonard and her 5-year-old daughter and her failure to report it to authorities.
The accused is being held in Allegany County Jail in lieu of $2000 bail. She is due back in Town Court on August 21.
Police are continuing their investigation and ask the public to call the Cuba Police Department if there are any other possible victims in this case at (585) 968-1666.
