Mother And Daughter Rescued In Wednesday Morning Fire

BLASDELL, NY ( WKBW ) An Eyewitness News crew was on the scene at 29 Miriam in Blasdell Wednesday morning.

The smoky house fire resulted in three people being sent to ECMC to be treated for smoke inhalation.

A mother and daughter had to be rescued from the 2nd floor porch roof. A teenage son living n the home was able to get himself out.

Two dogs and 4 cats perished in the fire that reportedly started in the basement and quickly spread to the first and second floors of the home.

Eyewitness News is also checking on a report that a 911 miscommunication that had companies from Orchard Park at the scene.

A preliminary damage estimate is $20,000 in the Blasdell fire.

Meantime, another Wednesday morning fire at an apartment home on Knox Avenue in North Buffalo sent residents there fleeing. The Eyewitness News crew on the scene there report that everyone in that building was able to escape.
