More Wireless Devices Than People in America, Trade Group Says

The trade group CTIA announced Wednesday that survey data shows that the number or wireless devices being used in the U.S. exceeds the country's population, according to a story in the Washington Post.

According to the report, the number of wireless devices in America and its territories now numbers 327.6 million, with the population estimated at 315.5 million. The tally includes smartphones, tablets and wireless cards, according to the report.
