CHEEKTOWAGA, NY (WKBW) -More than 43-million Americans are expected to hit the road and take to the skies on this Thanksgiving Eve. According to AAA, traveling by car has increased this year, with 90% of travelers hitting the road this Thanksgiving Holiday.
"It's all about leaving a little bit early and giving everyone around you more space," said New York State Sergeant Gregory Peron. "On a day like today, we've already seen multiple fender benders and that's simply from following too closely and not paying attention."
The Buffalo Niagara International Airport was also extremely busy Wednesday morning, even though fewer people are flying this year according to AAA.
"We normally fly the week before Thanksgiving, but since we traveled today and it was so close, I thought it would have been insane but it's actually great," said Traveler Lisa Black.
