According to a USA Today story, a Minnesota town is replacing contracted law enforcement with a private security company as a cost-saving measure beginning in January.

The town of Foley had been contracting with an area sheriff's office to patrol its streets since 2003, according to the USA Today report. The story says Foley will save more than $8,000 per month by switching to the private security company.
