In his 2014 budget, Governor Cuomo proposed cutting $120 million dollars for disability programming.

However, now all the money has been restored in a unanimous vote in the Assembly.

The decision allows organizations like People, Inc. to keep staff and programming.

The organization provides residential and day programs, including in the creative arts, for disabled people.

Governor Cuomo is expected to sign the bill restoring the funding in the upcoming days.
