Bergen, NY (WKBW) - New York State Police responded to Route 19 in Bergen just before 9 a.m. following the rollover of a milk truck. Police say 76-year-old Gerald Olin Jr. was driving northbound on Route 19 transporting about 5,000 gallons of milk when he lost control around a curve. Olin was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators do not believe speed was a factor.

"The road is wet. If you make just a slight mistake and go into the soft shoulder it's pretty unforgiving," said New York State Police Sergeant Kurt Schmitt.

Some residents who live nearby say their have been accidents before on the street and the curve in the road can be problematic. Police continue to investigate the crash.
