HAMBURG, NY (WKBW) - Town of Hamburg Police have charged Joseph Bodhorn, 26, of Parker Road with five felony drug charges including possession of lab equipment and precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine after police raided his Parker Road residence Tuesday.

Hamburg Police developed information through a narcotics investigation that Bodhorn had psilocybin mushrooms and illegal prescription pills at the residence. During that investigation, further information was gathered that there may be precursors for methamphetamine in the residence.

State Police Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.) was called to the scene due to the combustible nature of meth production. Upon entry to the residence, precursors for the manufacture of meth, such as ephedrine, muriatic acid, and potassium iodide as well as beakers, glass vials and piping were discovered.

Bodhorn was also charged with the possession of mushrooms, hypodermic instruments and drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and is being remanded to custody pending $25,000 bail.
