Buffalo- An injury to the Lateral Collateral Ligament or LCL for short can keep an athlete on the bench from roughly 2 to 8 weeks depending on the severity according to Jason Matuszak.

Matuszak is the Chief of Medicine at Excelsior Orthopedics in Amherst and while he can't speak specifically for Manuel, he does say and LCL sprain is not the worst injury that the star rookie QB could be suffering from. He says with rehabilitation most patients make a full recovery and fairly quickly.

Bills fans we spoke to were unanimously disappointed that EJ will be out for a few weeks, but their optimism for the team differed.
