Buffalo- The three men vying to Buffalo's mayor gathered under one roof today for a first debate.

Among the topics were education, jobs and the economy and crime.

The last topic was what seemed to cause tensions to flare as Republican candidate Sergio Rodriguez and Democratic candidate Bernie Tolbert claimed Mayor Byron Brown's statements that crime has decreased are inaccurate.

Brown says he wants to release the numbers to set the record straight.

All three men had the chance to share their opinions and platforms tonight in front of a live audience and cameras.

The debate was hosted by the Buffalo Association of Black Journalists.
