BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Buffalo mayor Byron Brown is making education a priority in 2014, and made that clear at his swearing in ceremony Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Brown outlined his plan for fixing the Buffalo Public School District.

"I plan on working with the superintendent," said Brown. "During my tenure as Mayor, I've worked closely with every superintendent. I've worked with this superintendent. We've talked on a regular basis."

Brown recently voiced his support for district superintendent Dr. Pamela Brown after community leaders came together to offer her $500,000 to leave her position.

Brown refused that offer.
