Yankees' Mariano Rivera Sets Baseball's All-Time Saves Record

New York Yankees relief pitcher Mariano Rivera made baseball history on Monday, establishing the all-time record for career saves.

According to a USA Today story, the 41-year-old Rivera recorded save number 602 of his career in a 6-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins at Yankee Stadium.  He surpasses Trevor Hoffman, who had 601 career saves.
