A New York State man was arrested Saturday after he was caught with child pornography while crossing the border into Canada via the Peace Bridge.
According to Niagara Regional Police, 30-year-old Clinton Jensen of New York State, entered into Canada, via the Peace Bridge, in Fort Erie. Jensen was directed to secondary inspection where his immigration status and the reasons for his visit to Canada were confirmed.
During the inquiry, a search of Jensen's vehicle by Canada Border Service Officers revealed that he was in possession of child pornography. The Niagara Regional Police Service were contacted and Uniform Officers from #5 District, Fort Erie attended and continued the arrest.
Jensen was arrested and charged with one count each of Importing Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography.
Jensen is being held in custody in St. Catharines, Ontario, pending a bail hearing.
