BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A shooting victim remains hospitalized at Erie County Medical Center in critical condition, according to a spokesman for Buffalo Police.
The unidentified male was shot just before 4 p.m on Carl Street, according to police spokesman Michael DeGeorge.
The man stumbled through a backyard and across nearby Schuele Ave. where he collapsed.
Residents offered aid until an ambulance arrived. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
Michael Barnes and his two young grandchildren watched as homicide detectives swarmed the neighborhood in the hours following the incident.
"I am so tired of it as a resident," he said. "I've lived in the City of Buffalo for a majority of my life. I'm sick of it."
