BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Shots rang out on the city's west side just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
Police were called to Maryland Street near Efner around 4:45, at the Maryner Homes complex there, where witnesses say an elderly man was struck in the head by a stray bullet.
Police have identified the man as 82 year old Ansumane Kanneh.
Eyewitness News returned to the scene today, and residents there are outraged.
Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives continue to investigate the deadly
shooting of Ansumane Kanneh.
Detectives believe the 82 year old male, who was outside at the
time, was struck by a stray bullet. A resident of the complex, the
victim was declared dead at the scene.
Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards said "it's likely that the victim
was not the intended target".
