BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Police are searching for a man who they're calling dangerous. Police say 31-year-old Christopher Price slipped out of custody while at ECMC Tuesday evening. Price was arrested Tuesday afternoon near Ellicott Street and Broadway for allegedly carrying a loaded handgun. Following his arrest, Price and taken to ECMC for unknown injuries but managed to escape from Buffalo Police custody while at hospital just after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. It's unknown how Price eluded officers.
"An internal investigation has been opened up into the matter by the Commissioner of Police Daniel Derenda," said Buffalo Police Spokesperson Michael DeGeorge. "We're trying to get those answers."
Police say Price is about 6 feet tall, weighing around 170 pounds and may still be wearing handcuffs. He was last seen in the Delavan-Grider area. Anyone with information is asked to 9-1-1 immediately.
