Long vacant, the Lutheran Church Home of Buffalo may soon find a new life.

Ellicott Development Co. has acquired the East Delavan Avenue property, paying $450,000, according to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk's office. Plans for the 25,220-square-foot building are being reviewed, said William Paladino, Ellicott president and CEO.

"We've got a lot of options," Paladino said.

Paladino said he was attracted to the property because of its location in the Hamlin Park Historic District in the shadow of Canisius College and also for its "plentiful parking."

The deal was brokered by Jane Munro from Hunt Commercial Real Estate Corp.
