Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Dozens of mourners gathered at both Nardin Academy and Canisius High School to remember 24-year-old Natalie Lewis.
The Buffalo native was killed Friday night when a hot air balloon she was riding in hit a power line. The basket then burst into flames in front of hundreds at the Mid-Atlantic Hot Air Balloon Festival in Richmond, Virginia.
Lewis graduated from Nardin Academy in 2007, where she was a star swimmer. Her family had many ties to Canisius High School as well.
Lewis recently became engaged to a Buffalo native.
