East Aurora (WKBW) - It's called Firefly.

A place you can get a sweet treat in East Aurora.

"Firefly came from, well, I knew I didn't want frosting or something cupcake related because I knew I wanted to make it very different," Firefly Owner Wendy Egloff said.

Now for local residents, the name goes hand in hand with the delicious taste and smells of Wendy Egloff's bakery where she makes dozens of cupcakes each morning. Wendy started baking in her home three years ago. Then, her business took off.

"Since we've open storefront in February, we really had a lot of growth and there have been questions about opening a second, third and fourth store," Egloff said.

Wendy said although she overseas the tasty operation, she said it's not a one women show. She has her family and 12 to 20 employees helping her along the way.

"I spent all of my adult life working for other people so I wanted to take my destiny into my own hands and I thought this was a great way to do that," Egloff said.

She said it wasn't east proving that her cupcake business was a sweet success.

"When I first started, a lot of people looked at it as she is making cupcakes out of her home. How nice. It's like they didn't take me seriously until I got a store front," Egloff said.

Now, she said everything is in place, the name, the store and the cupcakes. There is just one small detail that they're working on.

"What we do is we change our tagline every six or eight months. The logo was easy, the name was easy, and the tagline was not. Our current tagline is making the world better one cupcake at a time," Egloff said.

Egloff is looking for a new idea for a tagline. Log onto Firefly's facebook page and tell her your ideas. You could win a dozen cupcakes every month, for a year.
