BUFFALO (WKBW) There was no yelling or cheering, just hugs all around as Ramon Santiago and his family welcomed home his son, Private First Class Ramon Santiago III.

"Amazing. I'm overwhelmed. I'm so proud i just can't explain it," the father said.

Santiago was training with the army in Oklahoma for four months, and is home on leave before being deployed to Korea for a year. For his dad, the timing of this Fathers Day present was perfect.

"You can't touch this one, you can't wrap it up, but this is the best one. No doubt about it," Santiago added.

The story has now come full circle, as ten years ago, Santiago III was the one waiting at the airport for his father who is also a veteran.

"I was at ground zero missions, and also went to Central America, and my son was there for me every time I returned home and now I get a chance to see how he felt waiting for him to come home," Santiago said.

Santiago says the plans for his son's time home include plenty of family time and many Buffalo restaurants.
