LANCASTER, N.Y. (WKBW) - One local man says he is being threatened by the Town of Lancaster.

This all after he used the snow blower on his driveway during the blizzard earlier this week.

Yesterday, Ron Topolski received a Notice of Violation from the town stating that he was illegally dumping snow into the street while he was snowblowing.

Topolski says this isn't the case. It was simply the high winds that carried the snow into the road.

The violatio states "failure to remedy these conditions may be punishable by imprisonment or a fine."

That fine is up to $250 dollars and 50 days in jail.

Lancaster Police say blowing snow is illegal and is punishable by law.
