Local Fireman, EMT Arrested for Selling Drugs

HAMBURG, NY (WKBW) - Police have arrested a Hamburg volunteer firefighter and EMT for allegedly selling prescription drugs.

37-year-old Allen Jablonski of Hamburg was charged after a two-month long undercover drug investigation conducted by the Erie County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit with assistance from the Town of Hamburg Police Narcotics Unit.

Jablonski has been charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance (3rd) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd). Both are Class B Felonies.

Jablonski allegedly sold quantities of the highly addictive prescription pain killer Oxycodone to an undercover Sheriff's deputy on two separate occasions.

At the time of his arrest, Jablonski was found to be in possession of a fully loaded Smith and Wesson .38 caliber handgun and a portable police scanner.

Jablonski is employed by Rural Metro as an EMT and has been suspended from his volunteer fire company.
