Bill Nalbone of Niagara Falls went AWOL on this day 70 years ago during World War II to marry his wife, Jenny. It's a decision that just may have saved his life. Bill says when he returned to Fort Dix, New Jersey, his outfit had shipped out to Africa. He found out later, not many of them came home. Bill and Jenny have been together ever since.
Bill says, "You have to get along. Always say I love you and never go to bed without a kiss and never get up in the morning without a kiss...".
And this couple has done more things than we can mention, including visiting every state in the country. The Nalbone's also pride themselves on their family: three children, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
