(Buffalo, N.Y.) For decades, Linda Pellegrino has been one of the most popular broadcasters in Western New York. Her career in radio and television spans several decades.
After a long absence from her role as co-host for WKBW-TV's long-running AM Buffalo show, she announced to viewers in March that she was battling breast cancer.
Diagnosed with two types of stage-one breast cancer after her annual mammogram in December 2010, Linda chose to have a double mastectomy followed by re-constructive surgery.
Now, Linda Pellegrino is starting three months of chemotherapy.
In order to help "de-mystify" the process, Linda invited Eyewitness News Reporter Ed Reilly to cover her first day in chemotherapy.
