BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - The lake effect snow predicted by the Channel 7 AccuWeather team has arrived...with conditions changing depending on where you live.
Eyewitness News cameras continue to patrol the 219 where minor accidents have been reported. Driving on wind and snowswept highways can treacherous, as it can come up on you quickly.
If you are in Hamburg, Blasdell, Lakeshore, or Orchard Park in the Southtowns - you are likely to encounter some wind driven snow. The sun may shine, then peek behind the clouds as the snow band moves around.
In downtown Buffalo, you may have barely any snow at all...same for you who live in the Northtowns, going into Niagara County.
However if you are in the deep Southern Tier, you may have several inches depending on where you live and your proximity to the lake. The National Weather Service continues to keep the Lake Effect Snow Warning posted until 7p.m. Saturday for those areas.
