Less Pain at the Pump

Gas prices have dropped in Western New York in the past week -- but not very much.

A gallon of gas is selling for an average of $3.842 in Erie and Niagara counties this morning, according to the latest figures from the American Automobile Association. That's down nine-tenths of a cent from $3.851 a week ago.

AAA issued daily price estimates for metropolitan areas across the country, based on its analysis of credit-card purchases at self-service stations.
