(Buffalo, N.Y.) After three decades of serving coffee and donuts, the last remaining Dickie's Donuts shop will close on Saturday at 5pm.
The owner, Dave Costanzo, who has run the Dingens Street location in Buffalo since it opened in 1981, says "it is time."
Costanzo says Dickie's Donuts was still profitable but he and his wife Debbie wanted to spend more time with family.
"This is a seven day a week job," adds Dave Costanzo
In the 1980's and 90's, Dickie's Donuts had 17 franchise locations throughout Western New York.
In recent years, only the Buffalo location was still operating.
Dickie's Donuts was popular for its fresh made donuts - especially the peanut sticks.
