Rolling out the red carpet for some students and their mentors who are helping them get a leg up on a career in finance. When employers look to hire...they look for experience. when you're in high way to get that is through an internship. One local school has a unique way to honor students and their mentors. The Lancaster Opera House is a wash in the glow of spotlights. Honored guests parade along a red carpet. Paparazzi flash picture after picture. It's a mini version of the Academy Awards. But, this is the Academy oF Finance awards night for Lancaster High School.

Students spent last summer as interns at businesses and government agencies. The school wanted to show it's appreciation to the two dozen groups that helped out this past year. Dan and Denise Franklin, are from the Buffalo Club. It was their first year as business mentors to Ryan Zimmer and his brother Steven. The night even included awards for the students video projects. Next year's plans are to include the schools other academies in the glitzy night.
