Lake Effect Snow Hitting Many Areas of WNY

SOUTHERN ERIE & CATTARAUGUS COUNTY (WKBW) Winter weather is back and residents in parts of Western New York are digging out from a heavy lake effect snow storm that covered many areas with around one-foot of snow.

During Tuesday, people in the Village of Gowanda saw blizzard like conditions.

Residents in the Town of Dayton saw snowfall totals around 1" per hour.

And several areas, like Dayton and parts of Cattaraugus County reported snow as deep as 1-foot deep.

Weather conditions are continuing to change with snow bands moving to other parts of Western New York.
