In a three-way series of auctions, the assets of the recently closed La-Z-Boy store in Amherst will be put up for sale.

The Sheridan Drive store was closed by independent La-Z-Boy dealer Michael DeNisco on Aug. 5. DeNisco has since retained Cash Realty & Auctions to conduct a two-day liquidation sale, followed by an auction.

The liquidation sale of surplus inventory and equipment will be held on Sept. 11 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with all items going at 50 percent off their listed price. The following day, Sept. 12, again from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., a second liquidation sale will be held for all remaining inventory and equipment going for 60 percent off the listed price.

Items include tables, chairs, lamps and other accessories, according auctioneer Cash Cunningham.

An auction is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 14 for whatever items are remaining, Cunningham said.
