A Kmart store, located along a busy Transit Road retailing stretch in Lancaster, is slated to close - the victim of the company's plan to cutback on its outlets.
Kmart officials confirmed the store, located at the corner of Transit and French roads, will close on April 14 when its lease expires. Officials said 68 people will lose their jobs with the store closing.
Kmart, last year, announced plans to close 60 of its 1,305 stores nationwide.
With the closing, Kmart will still have local stores in Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Niagara Falls and West Seneca.
